Now Is Your Time: A Raw Motivational Manifesto for Students
The Cost of Success
If I’m going to seek success I’ve got to define what sacrifices are required in order to step into it. I cannot have it; I will not see it until I’ve counted up the cost. You’ll find yourself connected to 100 people that think they know what you should be doing to get where you’re supposed to be.motivational for students. And so I’ve got to begin to shut the mouths of the people that don’t know the cost—the price that I have to pay.
You may have paid that, but I may not have to pay that price. I can learn from your mistakes. I don’t have to fall down the same ditches you failed out. I don’t have to flop down the same stairs you flop down. That’s your price, that’s your cause.
Another Way, Another Mentality
I’ve got another way. I’ve got a different mentality. I just might be a little bit more creative than you. I just may be a little bit more innovative. I just may have more faith than you. I don’t have to fall like you fail. I don’t have to hurt like you hurt. I can look up and get up.
The Question of Sacrifice
When did you get to the point where you snapped so easily, when you let go so easily, when you gave up so easily? I know what it’s like to feel like if I keep going I’m gonna waste my time.
We all get to this point in our life where we ask ourselves the question: what have I held on to that should have been amputated?
Motivational for Students
All of us are holding on to something that is familiar and we are comfortable. It has become our paradigm, our pattern, our way of life. And if we’re honest, we can’t see ourselves without this thing. I don’t know what it is for you. Everybody’s got a different thing—person, place, something—that needs to be amputated out of our life, cut off, that’s no longer serving us.
What Is Holding You Back?
My question to you really is: I know you have your eyes on success, the endgame, the trophy—but what conveniences haven’t we let go of that have become cancerous to us?
If we’re honest, we should be able to write out a whole list of things that we’re not doing that we were destined to do. But our forward motion has been halted by something.
The Battle of You vs. You
Are you willing to confess to yourself? What haven’t you been willing to surrender? Why is it that you think what’s killing you is helping you? You’re bleeding out. You’re directionless. You don’t even have an idea where you are. And you’re so comfortable—yet you’re so annoyed.
Mastery Begins with You
There is no excuse. How can I get the best of me so I can get the best out of me? It all starts with self-understanding. When you understand yourself, you know your stress, your weaknesses, your tendencies. That’s when you can start conquering you.
I’m going to fight. I’m going to work. I’m going to press forward. I’m going to do everything in my power—every single day—to become a victor, not a victim. You versus you.
A Culture of Winners
Winners win and losers lose. I can’t explain it any better. If you create a culture of losing, if you keep being a victim, if you keep letting people treat you any kind of way—it’s going to become your reality.
When you say you’re going to do something and actually get it done, lock that feeling in. Let it drive you day after day. Let it push you to emerge victorious.
The Pain of Success or the Pain of Failure
I know you think it’s painful to study long hours. But it’s also painful to fail and not graduate. You have to decide today: do you want the pain of not making it, or the pain of succeeding?
You Are the Artist of Your Life
Every one of you are drawing a picture with your life. Your hands and feet are the paintbrushes. The choices and decisions you’re making right now are the paint strokes. You can paint whatever picture you want. But remember—your choices matter.
Rise to the Challenge
I want you to get so mad that you change. I want you to get fueled up, fired up, determined to be the best version of you. Not tomorrow, not next week—right now. You don’t need the perfect setting. You will make it perfect.
Own Your Legacy
Say it loud: “I’m ready.” Ready to make a difference, ready to be a leader, ready to win, ready to study, ready to graduate, ready to rewrite your story. Because the next chapter? It’s going to be your best chapter.
No More Waiting
What are you waiting for? You’re not waiting for the perfect time. You’re making this the perfect time. Forget the excuses. Forget the fear. Now is your moment. Today is your day. This is your time.
Final Word
You have everything you need to achieve anything. Let courage lead you. You don’t need perfection—only progress. Raise your standards. Raise your effort. Raise your compassion. Raise your will.
Because in the end, it’s not about how you started—it’s about how you finish.
