Stop Wasting Time! These 6 Money Habits Will Make You Rich in 2025

So you want to become rich too?
You’ve probably watched tons of videos online — maybe from Sandeep Maheshwari, Vivek Bindra, or Shark Tank episodes. You’ve seen it all. And then you come across offers like “I’ll give 50 lakhs for 3% equity…” and so on.

But here’s the truth — becoming rich like that is extremely difficult. Financial literacy doesn’t come from wishful thinking.

In today’s article , I’m going to share six personal tips — lessons learned from 4 years of building a business and generating over 200 crore in revenue. These aren’t recycled “save money” clichés like “Don’t eat burgers, skip Starbucks coffee, don’t buy expensive clothes.”
That’s not what you’ll hear here — because I believe those tips are made for people who lack belief in themselves and are simply unhelpful.

Let’s begin:

1. Quit Alcohol Completely

If you’re not a millionaire yet and you genuinely want to become one, you must give up alcohol and all forms of intoxication — period.

People often say, “Rich people drink too — why can’t I?”
Yes, but they have a team of 100+ people working for them. Even if they have a hangover, work continues. But you? You’re still hustling to become a millionaire. If you wake up with a headache, no one else is going to build your future.

Imagine how much money you waste — club entry, drinks, showing off, unplanned spending. That’s not living well — that’s financial self-destruction.

Real millionaires don’t waste like that. Don’t burn money on temporary highs.

2. Learn High-Income Skills

You need to master skills that generate serious money — not limit your thoughts with a scarcity mindset.
Why cap your potential when you’re capable of earning unlimited income?

Whether you run a business, do freelancing, or work at a startup, focus on adding real value — through skills like:

  • Sales

  • Content creation

  • VFX

  • Video editing

  • Graphic design

  • Marketing

  • Data management (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)

Skills = Leverage = Income Growth

3. Spend Like a Beggar, Invest Like a King

This old saying means: Spend carefully, but invest aggressively.

I’ve seen people earn crores but end up with nothing — why? Because they never invested.
Don’t live miserably — enjoy life — but invest before you spend.

Start small — even ₹2,000–₹5,000 per month in mutual funds, gold, real estate, or stocks — and increase it as your income grows.

Investment may feel boring initially, but it’s the only path to sustainable wealth.

4. Surround Yourself with Real Rich People

Find a way — any way — to be around genuinely rich, successful people. Learn from their behavior, habits, mindset, and conversations.

Even just sitting in the lobby of a 5-star hotel and observing can be an education. You’ll pick up their confidence, reading habits, and interaction styles.

You’ll notice: Real rich people are more humble, polite, and gracious than many middle-class or show-off types.

Prepare yourself — and when opportunity meets preparation, that’s called luck.

5. Eliminate Credit Card Debt Immediately

Nothing traps people in poverty like credit card debt.

If you have pending bills, forget everything else and pay them off ASAP.
Credit cards are great only if you don’t need them.

You may think you’re spending small — but you might be paying 40-50% annual interest without even realizing it. That’s how these companies make profits — off financially irresponsible users.

So, be responsible. Pay off all credit card dues before anything else.

6. Invest in Self-Education

You must spend money on your own learning — because schools and colleges don’t teach what today’s world needs.

Whether it’s books, courses, webinars — ask yourself:

If I invest ₹10,000 in learning, can I increase my income by even ₹833/month within a year?

If yes — then it’s worth it.

But also ask:

Do I back myself enough to implement what I learn and make money from it?

Courses alone don’t make you rich — implementation does.

Final Thoughts:

The version of Ashutosh Pratihast 5 years ago couldn’t earn what I do today — because he hadn’t learned what I now know.

Five years from now, I’ll earn much more — because I’m constantly learning.

The day you stop learning, you stop winning.
